Each staff member has been trained to implement the initiative. The executive director and staff oversee contracted personnel with specialized skills as well as the site coordinators at each site location.



Gina Solazzi – Executive Director: Leads all projects and provides overall program planning, direction for fundraising, and program outreach for the organization. Gina owned a successful local business for 23 years before joining CLC. She served on the Quality of Life Indicator’s Project as a member of the education panel and was a board member of TESSA. She is an adjunct staff member at the Center for Creative Leadership and holds a master’s degree in exercise physiology from the University of Oregon and a bachelor’s degree in comparative religion from Carleton College.


Pamela Polke – Director of Volunteers: Ensures the sustainability of tutoring sites through tutor recruitment and retention. Pamela has 22 years of experience in the financial arena. She volunteered for CLC for seven years as a tutor and site coordinator before joining the staff in July 2006. Pamela has also volunteered for several other local non-profit agencies throughout her 25 years in Colorado Springs. Her educational background includes training in graphic arts, and business administration. She is currently pursuing her degree in liberal arts at Regis University. pamela@childrensliteracycenter.org


Ann Sulley – Fundraising & Events Coordinator: Ann is responsible for CLC’s grant writing activities, special events, and fund development.  Ann has a diverse background working in the Profit and Non Profit business sector.  Her Non Profit experience includes working for the Pikes Peak Workforce Center National, Homeland Defense Foundation and Peak Military Care Network, and the Pikes Peak United Way. She has more than 14 years working in the financial industry to include several banks and credit unions in the Pikes Peak Region.

Ann earned a bachelor’s degree in physical education and a master’s degree in sports administration from the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley.  Ann Sulley joined the Children’s Literacy Center in December 2016.                  ann.s@childrensliteracycenter.org


Adelice Garcia – Office Manager: Adelice is responsible for maintaining CLC’s day to day procedures, financial operations, computer management, and other clerical duties. Adelice has been with the Children’s Literacy Center since 2016. office@childrensliteracycenter.org
